今週は３人のウーファーが滞在してくれています。　ポールさんは去年の１０月頃に３か月ほどうちに来て、それから日本をあちこちウーファーをしながら回った後、戻ってきてくれました。　ポールは日本に来るまでに様々な国に住みながら働いた経験を持っています。そしてここに来てから、木工に目覚めたようです。次の目的地はベトナムですが、この夏の間はまめの木にいて、手伝ってくれる予定です。

メイさんはタイから来ました。 タイで「タイのために教えよう」というプログラムで英語の先生をした後、世界中を旅しています。ここに滞在した後は、アメリカのアラバマ州に行き、昔、交換留学生の時に滞在したホストファミリーを１週間訪問します。秋からは、大学で平和を専攻して学び始めるそうです。

もう一人、タイから来ているバイトンさん。名前の意味はバナナの葉っぱだそうです。　タイではホテルで働いているそうです。日本に来るのは２度目で、この国のことや文化を学ぶのが大好きです。ここを出発した後は、韓国に短い間観光に行き、そのあとは日本に戻ってきて、また別のウーフホストのところに滞在する予定です。

We have three wwoofers wih us this week. Paul from the UK who has been with us on and off since last October. Paul has lived and worked in many different countries before coming to Japan, and since being here has developed a keen interest in woodworking. His next destination is Vietnam, but he'll be with us through the rest of the summer.

May comes from Thailand, and after finishing a job working for "Teach for Thailand" as an English teacher, he has been traveling the world. After staying here, he will head to Alabama to do a homestay. In the fall he will begin his university studies and plans to major in Peace Studies.

Baitong, whose name means "banana leaf," is also visiting from Thailand. Back home she works at a hotel. It's her second time in Japan, and she says she really loves learning about this country and its culture.
